NEW ZEALAND DIPLOMA IN HORTICULTURE PRODUCTION Level 5 (TWO-YEAR) – International.

DURATION

TWO YEARS: Forty weeks/year (four quarters of 10 weeks/year)

TIME REQUIRED

Three days (20 hours) on-site, and 13 hours of directed self-study/week which includes 5-8 hours of workplace experience.

First week of January, April, July, and October each year

International students overseas: Two years fee is NZ$34,500 (includes tuition, admin, resources and materials fees and Govt GST)
(First year=NZ$18,400 and second year= NZ$16,100, Inc GST), plus
Student Insurance: Orbit Protect S/Lite=$396/year, or S/Prime=$571/year

ENTRY CRITERIA: Applicants must:
  • Be 18 years of age or above
  • Have completed NCEA L2 or Senior Secondary or equivalent/above
  • English language competence: IELTS (Academic) 5.5 no band score less than 5, or NZCEL L4 (General or Employment), PToE 42 (Academic) with no score less than 36 or equivalent.   • Be physically fit to complete practical aspects of the course
  • Comply with the NZ Immigration requirements for student visa.
WORK RIGHTS

Students are eligible for 20 hours/week work rights during study and full-time during statutory holidays. Please check up with Immigration NZ or your consultant for the latest position. After completion the students can apply for Accredited Employer Work Visa (3-5 years) with a suitable job offer.
