NEW ZEALAND DIPLOMA IN HORTICULTURE PRODUCTION Level 5 (TWO-YEAR) – Domestic.

DURATION

ONE YEAR for NZ Certificate in Horticulture Production Level 4 and
TWO YEARS for NZ Diploma in Horticulture Production Level 5, consisting of 40 weeks (four quarters of 10 weeks/year) per year

TIME REQUIRED

Three days (20 hours) on site, and 13 hours of directed self-study/week which includes 5-8 hours of workplace experience

START DATES

First week of January, April, July, and October each year

TOTAL CREDITS

125 for Level4 and 120 for Level5 (Nursery Production strand)

ENTRY CRITERIA: Applicants must:

Be 17 years of age or above
Have completed NCEA L2 or equivalent/above
Be physically fit to complete practical aspects of the course
Mature students (aged 21 or above) with some work experience can be enrolled in NZ Diploma L 5 one year programme, directly.
