DURATION

ONE YEAR: Forty weeks/year (four quarters of 10 weeks/year)

TIME REQUIRED

Three days (20 hours) on site, and 12-13 hours of directed selfstudy/week which includes 5-8 hours of workplace experience.

START DATES

First week of January, April, July, and October each year

TOTAL CREDITS

120 Credits (Nursery Production strand)

International students onshore: total fee for one year is NZ$16,100/year (includes tuition, admin, resources & materials fees and Govt GST)
Student Insurance: Orbit Light: NZ$396/year or Prime NZ$571/year

Overview of programmes:

ENTRY CRITERIA: Applicants must:

* Be 18 years of age or above
* Have achieved NCEA Level 2 (or equivalent)
* Demonstrate through an interview/assessment of their knowledge and ability to
achieve at this level.
* Be physically fit to complete practical aspects of the programme (About 60-65% of  the programme will involve field work)
* Mature students (aged 21 or above) who have not previously achieved the
academic entry requirement may, following an interview by the Director, be granted
admission to the programme.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS  must also
* Have English level competence, they will be required to provide evidence of IELTS (Academic) Level 5.5 with no band lower than 5, or PTE (Academic) overall 42 with no band score less than 36 or NZCEL L 4 ( General or Employment) or equivalent.  https://www2.nzqa.govt.nz/tertiary/english-language-entry-requirements-for-international-students/
